Many new homes in our village
Welcome it or not, Ogmore-by-Sea is expanding with the addition of over a hundred new homes. Construction work is taking place building new apartments and houses on four main sites: Tusker Point, Horizon, Ocean view and The Rise.
It seems that new houses are springing up all over the village. With all this increase in population, we still have no Pub! I think that this village needs a Pub. A social centre. I understand that the Pelican is re-opening soon, which is good, but it is not really in easy walking distance for the village. I can remember a time when we had three pubs and a hotel. The Craig, The Brig-y-Don, The Pirates and The Sealawns Hotel. Surely one Pub could be viable!

Tusker Point is being developed by Waterstone Homes who are building twelve luxury 4 and 5 bedroom houses off Slon Lane and Craig-yr-Eos road.
Prices range from £590,0000 to £800,000. Four of the houses are on the sea front with uninterrupted sea views, which at the time of writing (8th May 2017) are sold. In fact there are only three left on the development.
When completed, access to the new development will be off Craig-yr-Eos road which is narrow and bendy. This increased traffic flow concerns some local residents.
