A new book, written by a resident of Ogmore-by-Sea, is now available  on Amazon. read more...

Phil is telling tales!

Sometimes stories can entrance you and invoke your imagination. They demand your involvement, capture your attention and create an effect that stays with you, sometimes for life! This is reading at its best.

I have read many great novels that have had such a deep emotional effect on me that I remember to today and will probably always remember. However, there are many novels that I have started to read and have never finished that have left me with a feeling that I have just wasted a lot of my time reading the book as far as I did.
But that is the joy of short stories. The effect is immediate. The enjoyment is quick. But if it is really good, it stays with you as long as reading a great novel and has the same lasting memory.

In this selection of short stories, some hopefully will have that effect. They have been written over many years and about the most varied of subjects. One or two will surely find that emotional hotspot in you that will you enjoy and remember. A fast fix of emotions, a satisfying read. But, if a particular story was not for you, then you haven't wasted much of your valuable time and perhaps you have been informed about a subject that you would not normally have chosen and there are still plenty more to read.

It's  been many years in the making, but now it is almost here!
The  Ogmore-by-Sea Village Hall is a reality. Funds are secured, permissions are in place and construction is near cmpletion.
The site is just below the Post Office, off Slon Lane.
Congratulations to the Village Hall Association and everyone involved in making this happen.

Now all we need is a village pub!
